Dr. Mangalam Srinivasan
Mangalam Srinivasan, an academic of distinction, has held teaching, research, and advisory positions in premier institutions of higher learning in the US and abroad including Harvard University and the University of Madras. The recipient of numerous lifetime achievement awards, she has contributed to knowledge and practice to diverse fields of science, technology and the arts, management and finance, literature and poetry. She has additionally created contemporary discourses on people and places, energy, environment and development, in indigenous rights, resources, arts and culture through print, audio and video media.
Dr. Mangalam Srinivasan has directly advised heads of governments, the United Nations, and important institutions such as the National Science Foundation, National Academy of Sciences, Universities, Smithsonian on topical issues. As one of the first women independent directors globally, matters concerning creation of wealth, ethics and equity, promotion of talent (especially, undervalued and unrepresented) and mentoring have been the hallmarks of her personal and professional goals.
